Feuilles Vertes is situated in the glorious Cathar Country. Enjoy the many historic sites throughout the area, especially the stunning medieval city of Carcassonne. Other Cathar castles and abbeys nearby include Montsegur, Puivert, Quéribus, Puilaurens and Peyrepertuse.



















Discover the connection between Father Berenger Sauniere and the lovely town of Rennes-le-Château - or just relax in the thermal spas at Rennes-les-Bains and Alet-les-Bains.

During your stay, why not visit a few vineyards? The area around Feuilles Vertes is famous for its wines, which include Maury, Côtes-du-Roussillon, Malpère, Blanquette-de-Limoux and Corbières. You may also enjoy sampling the gastronomic delights of the region at one of several excellent local restaurants.




If you're feeling energetic, there are many white water activities on offer throughout the area - the nearest base is 150 metres from the house! Choose from kayaking, rafting, hydrospeed, canoeing or canyoning. If you prefer to swim or sunbathe, the Mediterranean coast is just over an hour away. In addition, there is a small man-made beach alongside the lake at Puivert (20 minutes away).



For the less energetic, there are picturesque walks in the forests and hills, as well as climbing and caving in the mountains and gorges. In the winter, the nearest ski slopes are just 40 minutes away. Other resorts can be reached within 1-1½ hours.





During the warmer months, cycling is extremely popular locally - and the Tour-de-France passes our front door every other year!
